Proefnotities
In the glass it shows a deep, concentrated ruby color. The nose is layered and expressive, with ripe cherry and blackberry at the core, supported by refined notes of toast, spice and subtle oak. On the palate, the wine opens with bright red fruit—cherry and raspberry—before unfolding into darker berry tones and impressive mineral depth. It is full-bodied yet beautifully poised, with firm structure, fine tannins and the balance to age gracefully for many years.

Productie
Vigna del Sorbo comes from a single hillside parcel in the heart of Chianti Classico, planted on a southwest-facing slope that benefits from excellent sun exposure and ideal ripening conditions. The vines are around 40 years old, contributing concentration and complexity to the fruit. The wine is made from spontaneously fermented Sangiovese, using native yeasts and low, controlled temperatures in stainless steel tanks. It then matures for 24 months in oak barrels, with 50% new wood, giving the wine added structure, polish and subtle spice without overpowering the fruit.

Eten & Serveren
This is an excellent match for grilled or roasted beef, especially a premium cut such as entrecôte, ribeye or bistecca alla fiorentina. It also pairs well with game, lamb and rich Tuscan dishes with herbs and tomato-based sauces. Serve at 16–18°C, and decanting for 1–2 hours is recommended to allow the wine to fully open.
