In the glass, this is a translucent, light-coloured red with a graceful, almost fragile-looking appearance that hints at its delicacy rather than its power. The nose is highly perfumed and lifted, with rose petals, pomegranate, red berries and a subtle stony, granite-like edge that gives the aromatics real definition. On the palate, the wine is all about purity and line: vertical, finely textured and driven by saline minerality rather than weight. The fruit is precise and understated, while the finish is long, mouthwatering and energetic. Rozas 1er Cru comes from high-altitude mountain vineyards in the Sierra de Gredos, where old Garnacha vines grow on poor granite soils that naturally limit yields and enhance freshness. The combination of altitude, cool nights and decomposed granite gives the wine its distinctive aromatic lift and mineral backbone. Harvesting is typically done by hand to preserve the integrity of the fruit, followed by careful vinification aimed at protecting delicacy, texture and transparency of terroir.

Eten & Serveren
This is an excellent match for dishes that echo its elegance rather than overpower it: roast quail, duck breast, pigeon, grilled salmon, mushroom risotto or refined tapas with Iberian ham and roasted peppers. Serve it slightly cool, ideally around 14–16°C, to highlight its freshness and aromatic detail. Decanting is optional but can be helpful for a young bottle, especially if you want to soften the wine and open up the perfume.
