The nose is generous and distinctly Rhône-like, with aromas of black cherry, blackberry, blackcurrant, black pepper, liquorice and a delicate smoky note.\n\nOn the palate, the wine is full-bodied and intense, yet the dark fruit comes across with a velvety texture and impressive balance. South-of-France spice adds depth and warmth, while the structure suggests excellent aging potential. After fermentation for around 30 days, the wine is matured for up to two years in old foudres, large oak vats that can hold up to 13,000 litres.
